Description

Design and technically steer integrations for a ServiceNow platform, including definition of interfaces, data flows, responsibilities, and technical requirements. Contribute to CMDB development in line with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), improving data models, standards, and data quality. Ensure reliable operations through clear documentation and structured analysis of integration issues.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize integrations between ServiceNow and other systems (interfaces, data flows, responsibilities, technical requirements)

• Technically guide implementation and further development of integrations; analyze complex errors and evaluate solution approaches

• Ensure traceable documentation and reliable operation of integrations

• Analyze existing integrations against agreed standards and define practical measures to evolve the integration landscape

• Develop the CMDB according to CSDM, including data models and standards for Configuration Items and their relationships

• Assess incoming data from connected systems and map it into a consistent CMDB structure

• Define requirements and quality rules for integrated data; analyze gaps and contradictions; coordinate improvements with responsible teams

• Create cross-cutting solutions with Platform Architect, Lead Developer, Solution Designer, and subject-matter experts; prepare decision options for management when needed

• Work closely with ServiceNow architects (especially ITSM), Platform Owner, and Enterprise Architecture

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics (or comparable qualification) with relevant experience

• Experience in designing and technically supporting ServiceNow system integrations; solid knowledge of interfaces and data flows

• Practical experience with REST APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server; strong knowledge of ServiceNow Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE)

• Solid hands-on ServiceNow experience and understanding of how integrations, data models, and data quality interact

• Knowledge of CMDB Health; secure handling of Data Foundations Dashboards for CSDM and CMDB; experience with CMDB Workspace for analyzing and improving data quality

• ServiceNow certifications: Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery, Certified Implementation Specialist Service Mapping, Certified Implementation Specialist Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM)

• Systems thinking, structured technical analysis, and ability to communicate solution options clearly

• Enjoy collaborating across teams with an eye for technical standards and pragmatic solutions

• Very good German and good English
