Description

You will support the development and maintenance of a banking application that processes customer data, including integration of bank systems and adapting modules for use within the Erste group.

The role includes backend and REST API development, suggesting technical solutions, and creating new functionality with an emphasis on high-quality delivery.

You will also run tests and participate in CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop backend services and REST API interfaces

• Contribute to architectural and system concepts

• Suggest technical solutions and build new features

• Integrate bank systems and adapt modules to group solutions

• Perform testing and support CI/CD processes

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Java project delivery

• Very good knowledge of Java 21+, Spring Boot 3, and Hibernate

• Experience working with PostgreSQL databases

• Practical knowledge of code optimization, application performance, and multithreaded programming

• Experience with Kafka Streams, stream processing, and asynchronous communication

• Knowledge of sorting algorithms, data structures (map, tree map), and database indexing

• Familiarity with DDD (Domain-Driven Design)

• Experience with ELK, Dynatrace, and Redis

• Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, and RestAssured

• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins, and OpenShift

• Experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka

• Experience delivering projects for the financial/banking sector

• STEM degree

• Availability to start the engagement from October
