Description

You will develop backend services and applications in Java for a modern platform used by sales and trading teams in Financial Markets. The role combines hands-on development with influence over architecture, technical standards, and how larger initiatives are delivered. You will also improve automated tests supporting Continuous Delivery and contribute to maintenance and support of the services.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and applications in Java

• Design solutions for complex business requirements

• Build scalable platform services and core libraries

• Create workflow solutions for sales and trading

• Break large initiatives into smaller iterative stages

• Collaborate with global teams, analysts, and business stakeholders

• Develop automated tests enabling Continuous Delivery

• Participate in maintenance and support of developed services

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of commercial experience in Java

• Very strong knowledge of Core Java

• Very strong knowledge of Spring Framework

• Experience with RxJava

• REST / Reactive Web Services experience

• Experience with microservices architecture

• Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, Docker experience

• CI/CD knowledge (Azure DevOps is welcome)

• SQL database experience, especially Oracle

• Distributed data store knowledge (e.g., Hazelcast)

• Messaging technologies experience (e.g., Kafka or Solace)

• Good understanding of design patterns and software design principles

• Ability to independently design solutions for complex/ambiguous business problems
