Description

Join a team building modern backend systems for the financial sector. You’ll design and develop scalable, maintainable microservices using Java and Spring, including integrations with external systems via REST, SOAP, and Apache Kafka. You’ll also support CI/CD deployments and contribute to code quality through reviews and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java backend applications

• Build scalable microservices using hexagonal (ports and adapters) architecture

• Implement solutions with Spring Framework and Spring Boot

• Design and develop integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and Apache Kafka

• Work with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and Oracle

• Implement data access layer using JPA and Hibernate

• Ensure code quality using SOLID, DRY, KISS, and programming best practices

• Participate in code reviews, estimations, solution design, and process improvements

• Use AI tools to support analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation

• Participate in application deployment and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• 4+ years building backend applications in Java 11 or newer

• Practical knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot 3.5+

• Microservices architecture and distributed systems design

• Practical knowledge of hexagonal architecture (or similar approaches)

• JPA and Hibernate knowledge

• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle

• Excellent SQL knowledge

• Experience building integration interfaces with REST, SOAP, and Apache Kafka

• Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design

• Knowledge of SOLID, DRY, KISS and other best practices

• Ability to choose and build appropriate tests

• Basic knowledge of deployment-related tools and processes: Maven, Jenkins, Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes

• Ability to effectively and consciously use AI tools in software development

• English proficiency for technical documentation and collaboration
