Description

System Architect role focused on designing and evolving a key insurance domain system, including migration from a monolith to a private-cloud microservices architecture. You will manage technical debt, guide engineering teams through architecture workshops and mentoring, and support solution design, documentation, and standards compliance. Collaboration includes feasibility analyses, observability, API governance, and modernization aligned with DevOps practices.

Role Responsibilities

  • Co-create and program changes in a key property insurance system
  • Define and implement a migration strategy from monolith to private-cloud microservices
  • Manage technical debt and incorporate it into planning
  • Contribute to technology directions and the vision for modern IT solutions
  • Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams to maintain coherent direction and business value
  • Provide subject-matter support and consulting for solution design
  • Help prepare feasibility analyses and implementation assumptions
  • Support designing and documenting system architecture
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies
  • Contribute to standards development and help maintain compliance with agreed standards
  • Support process improvements in software delivery and DevOps culture development

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and overseeing system architecture
  • Very good knowledge of Java and Spring
  • Ability to create scalable, secure, fault-tolerant distributed architectures
  • Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices
  • Experience with cloud and infrastructure automation
  • Ability to lead code reviews, mentoring, and architecture workshops
  • End-to-end observability experience
  • Practical knowledge of API governance
  • Practical knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture
  • English at least B2
