Description

Join a project focused on developing and modernizing systems supporting key property insurance business processes. You will co-create the architecture direction and help transform an existing monolith into a modern, scalable microservices architecture based on private cloud. The role combines architectural thinking with practical development support, mentoring teams, and shaping technical standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Co-design and develop changes in the insurance system supporting property insurance processes

  • Design the migration strategy from monolithic to microservices architecture

  • Design scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed systems

  • Support delivery teams in designing and implementing solutions

  • Create and document system architecture and make architectural decisions

  • Co-create technology roadmaps, analyze risks, and manage technical debt

  • Lead code reviews, architecture workshops, and mentor teams

  • Support feasibility analyses and define implementation assumptions

  • Develop and promote technology standards across the organization

  • Introduce new technologies and support the DevOps culture

  • Ensure end-to-end observability and integration quality/consistency between systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and overseeing system architecture

  • Very good knowledge of Java and Spring

  • Experience designing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed systems

  • Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices

  • Experience with cloud and infrastructure automation

  • Practical knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)

  • Experience in Event-Driven Architecture with Kafka

  • Practical knowledge of API Governance

  • Hands-on observability end-to-end (Kibana, Grafana, ELK)

  • Ability to conduct code reviews, mentor, and facilitate architecture workshops

  • Experience co-creating technology roadmaps and assessing risk

  • English language skills (min. B2)
