Description

You will help shape the architecture direction and transform an existing monolithic solution into a modern, scalable microservices architecture. The role combines architectural responsibility with active Java development, supporting Scrum teams through technical guidance, integration work, and technology standards. You will also contribute to observability, performance, security, scalability, and the use of cloud and agentic AI/AI in development.

Responsibilities

• Act as Tech Lead in a Scrum team: team support, technology direction, and architectural decisions

• Actively program in Java to deliver business requirements

• Design and evolve system and microservices architecture

• Work with Product Owner and business to refine requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Define and enforce technical standards (coding, architecture, integrations)

• Lead code reviews to ensure code quality and sound solutions

• Mentor developers and support solving technical problems

• Design and oversee system integrations and APIs

• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of solutions

• Co-participate in technology decision-making and risk assessment

• Use cloud solutions (preferably Azure) and contribute to agentic AI/AI usage in SDLC

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building web systems

• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring; active coding expected

• Experience building microservices and distributed systems

• Very good knowledge of architectural patterns, integration practices, API design, and system integration

• Practical knowledge of DDD

• Practical knowledge of relational databases (SQL, query optimization)

• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture with Kafka

• Practical experience in end-to-end observability (Kibana, Grafana, ELK)

• Ability to lead a technical team, perform code reviews, and mentor

• Experience co-creating technology decisions and assessing risks

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• English language proficiency (at least B2)
