Description

You will co-create and supervise IT system architecture and support migration from a monolithic solution to a private-cloud, microservices-based architecture. The role includes managing technical debt, mentoring engineering teams with architectural guidance, and providing consulting for solution design and feasibility assumptions. You will also help introduce new technologies, develop and maintain standards, and support process improvements with a DevOps culture.

Responsibilities

• Co-create and develop changes in systems related to property insurance

• Create a migration strategy from monolith to private-cloud microservices

• Manage and plan technical debt

• Contribute to directions and vision for modern IT solutions

• Provide guidance to engineering teams to keep delivery aligned with business value

• Provide subject-matter support and consulting for solution development

• Assist in feasibility analyses and delivery assumptions

• Support system architecture design and documentation

• Source, adopt, and implement new technologies

• Participate in defining standards and maintaining compliance with them

• Support improvements to the development process and DevOps culture

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and overseeing system architecture

• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring

• Ability to design scalable, secure, fault-tolerant distributed architectures

• Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices

• Experience with cloud and infrastructure automation

• Ability to lead code reviews, mentoring, and architectural workshops

• Co-create technology roadmaps and assess risks

• End-to-end observability experience

• Practical knowledge of API governance

• Practical knowledge of DDD

• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture

• English at least B2

• Ability to provide services from within Poland

• Experience with Agentic SDLC

• Experience with multi-cloud strategies

• Advanced practical knowledge of DDD

• Cloud cost awareness

• Participation in defining technology standards within the organization
