Description

You will lead technology decisions while actively programming in Java to deliver business requirements. The role focuses on designing and evolving system and microservices architecture, ensuring high software quality through standards and code reviews, and mentoring the development team. You will also oversee system integrations and APIs, with a strong emphasis on performance, security, scalability, observability, and cloud solutions (preferably Azure), including the use of AI/agentic AI in development.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Tech Lead in a Scrum team

  • Actively develop in Java and implement business requirements

  • Design and evolve architecture for systems and microservices

  • Translate Product Owner and business requirements into technical solutions

  • Define architectural and coding standards

  • Lead code reviews and maintain high software quality

  • Mentor and support developers

  • Design and oversee system integrations and APIs

  • Ensure performance, security, and scalability

  • Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and other Scrum teams

  • Participate in technology decisions and risk analysis

  • Use cloud solutions, preferably Azure

  • Use AI and agentic AI in the software development process

Requirements

  • Very good commercial Java knowledge backed by experience (active programming ~75%)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and building web systems

  • Experience designing microservice architecture and distributed systems

  • Very good knowledge of architectural and integration patterns

  • Experience designing APIs and integrating systems

  • Practical knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)

  • Very good knowledge of relational databases and SQL query optimization

  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture

  • Knowledge of observability end-to-end

  • Experience in code review, mentoring, and technical leadership

  • Ability to collaborate across teams

  • Experience making technology decisions and assessing risks

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

  • English at least B2

  • Availability for hybrid work in Warsaw
