Description

Lead engineering for Amazon’s internal build compute platform and the build systems used by developers at scale. You will help define user cases and the product roadmap, manage operational events, and deliver scalable, reliable solutions that improve the developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage one of the largest build fleets in the industry, running thousands of millions of package builds daily
• Hire, retain, and grow top engineering talent for the team
• Partner with other teams to deliver a highly scalable and reliable service
• Continuously and reliably deliver high-quality technical solutions
• Create annual plans for the Source team and contribute to larger organizational plans
• Connect with customers to define user cases and the product roadmap for the Brazil compute platform
• Handle and manage operational events and lead event resolution
• Lead the team executing against key projects and deliverables

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams
• 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
• 8+ years of leading definition and development of multi-tier web services
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations)

• Base salary range: $184,900 to $250,200 annually (final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location)
