Description

Lead, coach, and develop software engineering teams responsible for building and evolving high-quality digital products and services. Drive delivery, team health, and technical excellence while partnering cross-functionally to align with product goals. Operate as a highly technical leader in a SOX- and SOC 2-compliant environment, embedding controls and auditability into everyday engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams; foster collaboration and continuous improvement

• Manage vendor teams and partnerships to support delivery and alignment

• Own team commitments and deliver high-quality work on time

• Translate product and design requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions

• Communicate decisions, trade-offs, status, and risks to stakeholders at all levels

• Apply technical judgment across web applications, microservices, databases, AWS, and CI/CD

• Partner to integrate systems, including third-party platforms and shared services

• Ensure work meets SOX and SOC 2 requirements with controls, auditability, and change-management discipline

• Promote engineering excellence in code quality, testing, performance, delivery, and reliability

• Drive modern practices: automation, observability, continuous delivery

• Stay current on software and technology trends to guide team direction

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience

• At least 2 years of engineering leadership experience

• Ability to lead and grow engineering teams in a collaborative, agile environment

• Broad hands-on experience across frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular), backend (Java, Node.js), databases, and AWS

• Experience building and operating scalable microservices architectures and distributed systems

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and production operations in cloud-based environments

• Experience operating in SOX- and/or SOC 2-compliant environments

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across functions and distributed/offshore contractor partnerships

• Commitment to innovation, quality, and user-centered development

Benefits

• Pay range: $124,300 - $190,000 annually (base pay varies by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location)

• Annual bonus plan may be provided
