Description

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting the Bookings product. Collaborate with frontend and mobile engineers to deliver new features and improve APIs across web, iOS, and Android. You’ll continuously optimize performance, observability, and reliability while contributing to the Sell Online technical roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems for Bookings

• Collaborate with web, iOS, and Android teams to improve APIs

• Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and design discussions

• Continuously optimize performance and observability; uphold high reliability standards

• Contribute to the technical roadmap for the Sell Online platform

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience

• Fluent in Kotlin (or Java) and deep experience with Spring Boot

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS

• Understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures (e.g., CQRS, Event Sourcing)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions

• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana or Honeycomb

• Enjoy collaborative teamwork, mentor peers, and focus on delivering value to merchants
