Description

You will design, build, and operate backend systems for data- and AI-driven products, translating business and technical requirements into reliable, scalable, and maintainable software. The position emphasizes Python backend development and delivery from concept to production, while collaborating with engineers, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders. You will also build and evaluate AI-enabled applications such as RAG solutions, semantic search, knowledge assistants, and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications for data- and AI-driven products (mainly in Python)

• Build and maintain APIs, backend services, and distributed systems

• Translate requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions

• Collaborate on technical solution design; challenge assumptions and identify best-fit approaches

• Develop AI-enabled applications (RAG, semantic search, document Q&A, knowledge assistants, agentic workflows)

• Evaluate and adopt new AI technologies and emerging tools/frameworks

• Own solutions from concept through development, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement

• Deploy and operate with Docker, Kubernetes/cloud platforms, CI/CD, and GitOps

• Participate in code reviews and collaborative Git workflows; maintain clean and maintainable code

• Implement and improve monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability

• Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Work independently, drive technical topics forward, and mentor engineers as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend development and production-grade Python

• Solid experience building backend services, APIs, and distributed systems

• Experience with containers and deployment technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless platforms

• Good understanding of software architecture, clean code principles, and engineering best practices

• Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows

• Practical experience with CI/CD and GitOps concepts and tools

• Ability to work independently and take ownership

• Strong communication skills
