Description

Senior Backend Software Engineer role within the Contact team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable, performant, and maintainable services that process large volumes of customer attribute updates. The platform is cloud-native and event-driven, built on Azure with PostgreSQL and Azure Service Bus, evolving toward Kubernetes for scalability and resilience. You will also contribute to future data enablement using advanced data/AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality backend software solutions with proficiency in Java (Spring Boot or other frameworks)

  • Work with Microsoft Azure and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) or demonstrate willingness to learn

  • Implement and advocate CI/CD best practices

  • Maintain high-quality documentation for development and system design

  • Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and efficient

  • Take ownership to drive reliability, maintainability, and performance

  • Mentor and support fellow engineers

  • Automate workflows and build tools/scripts to improve efficiency

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience delivering Java

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Good English communication skills

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud solutions, and Terraform

  • Experience in system design

  • Experience taking ownership of a project and leading a team from a technical/project perspective

  • Proactive attitude
