Description

You will build and maintain the external-facing APIs that power customers’ core workflows. The role includes designing and building API endpoints, improving database and query performance, and integrating with third-party services while translating product requirements into reliable backend logic and assisting with customer issue diagnosis and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend API endpoints for customer workflows

• Optimize database and query performance

• Diagnose and help resolve customer-facing issues

• Collaborate with a global team across full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps to deliver scalable backend solutions

• Improve platform speed, stability, and usability

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience

• Experience building external-facing APIs or designing integrations with third-party systems

• Strong system design, debugging, and problem-solving fundamentals

• Proficiency with Python (or strong object-oriented programming background)

• Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda and/or EC2), asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments

• Comfort with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL

• Demonstrated ownership, proactive communication, and ability to drive projects to completion

• Comfort experimenting: test ideas, measure results, and iterate quickly
