Description

Lead technically complex, cross-team projects focused on high performance, scalability, and observability for displaying and tracking ads worldwide. You will design and implement system changes, build and maintain HTTP/gRPC services and batch jobs, and provide hands-on technical leadership through scoping, planning, production monitoring, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead implementations of system changes to improve performance, scalability, and observability for global ad delivery and tracking
• Develop tools and optimizations to drive measurable improvements in critical user performance metrics
• Implement, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain HTTP/gRPC services and batch jobs in Java and Python (including environment setup, configuration code, and production monitoring)
• Provide hands-on technical leadership: solve complex system challenges, participate in planning and scoping, and ensure highest coding standards via code reviews

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of complex IT systems from hardware through software to algorithms
• Very good knowledge of fundamental Internet protocols and technologies: DNS, HTTP, cookies
• Good knowledge of concurrent programming and distributed systems (thread level to geo-distributed clusters)
• Practical ability to observe, monitor, and analyze production systems
• Ability to critically analyze solutions for performance (theoretical estimates and production issue removal)
• General knowledge of problems and solutions for high scalability and high availability
• C1 level English and Polish
• Nice to have: experience in AdTech / Real Time Bidding
• Nice to have: experience contributing to Real User Monitoring (RUM) systems
