Description

AWS Infrastructure as Code helps customers adopt AWS services safely and efficiently. This team builds services including CloudFormation and Cloud Control API, plus developer tooling such as CloudFormation CLI and the Resource Provider Development Kit (RPDK), enabling standardized resource-based interfaces via the CloudFormation Registry.

You will lead engineers who help customers scale their use of AWS services and third-party solutions by defining architecture and driving implementation and launch.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, and grow an engineering team

• Partner with product managers to refine product requirements

• Define software architecture and lead implementation/launch

• Collaborate with principal engineers on technical direction

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience

• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams

• 3+ years designing/architecting systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)

• 8+ years leading definition and development of multi-tier web services

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, live site operations)

• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
