Description

You will support the commissioning and acceptance of railway signaling safety installations by bringing the required IT infrastructure for these systems online. You are responsible for timely start-up of the core IT infrastructure, perform troubleshooting of IT/IP network components, and conduct diagnostic measurements on CU cables. You will also support the training of service staff and installers and serve as a technical contact for development.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and acceptance of signal-technics security installations

• Ensure on-time commissioning of the fundamental IT infrastructure for the signal security installations

• Troubleshoot signal systems (IT/IP network) and perform diagnostic measurements on CU cables

• Support training of service personnel and installers; act as a technical contact for the development team

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in communications system installations and/or IP networks (e.g., IT/communications systems electronics technician or equivalent)

• Relevant professional experience in these areas

• Very good knowledge of installation and commissioning of IP networks

• Experience in railway safety systems (interlockings/rail crossings) or railway operations experience is desirable

• High personal responsibility, analytical working style, and strong problem-solving skills

• Independent work approach with high quality standards

• Valid driver’s license and valid EU work authorization

• Enjoyment of frequent and varied business travel in southern Germany
