Description

Lead and manage an electrical engineering team developing next-generation electrical infrastructure for AWS data centers, enabling at-scale deployment of liquid-cooled racks. Work closely with AWS builders and third-party manufacturers to define detailed electrical equipment specifications and evaluate design-change merit and risk. Support reliability and operational excellence using data-driven problem-solving, including failure mode and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative, high-performance teams of technical associates under challenging timelines

• Provide engineering judgment and recommendations despite uncertainty

• Apply data-driven, detail-oriented problem-solving

• Collaborate with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers on new technology development

• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographic zones

• Communicate complex system details clearly

• Support operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, failure mode, and root cause analysis

• Incorporate customer feedback to improve product reliability and availability

• Contribute to a global knowledge base and drive continuous improvement at scale

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or experience in electrical engineering

• 7+ years in data center design and product development/electrical/related product development

• 5+ years managing teams of 40+ associates with a proven track record of success and growth

• Experience leading product design of electrical products

• Extensive understanding of electrical infrastructure solutions in data centers

• Ability to lead development of detailed electrical equipment specifications and evaluate design changes
