Description

You will build, optimize, and operate a self-service cloud data platform and help evolve it toward a Data Mesh/Data Fabric approach. Working with the team, you will provide, maintain, and further develop the AWS and Snowflake cloud infrastructure and support modernization of the broader IT landscape. You will also support colleagues in using and implementing modern development technologies and communicate technical topics across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and operate the self-service cloud data platform

• Provide, maintain, and evolve AWS and Snowflake infrastructure for the platform

• Support modernization of the company IT landscape according to current best practices

• Support team members in applying modern development technologies and contribute creative ideas

Requirements

• Completed degree (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Software Engineering, or comparable)

• Multi-year experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer

• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Python, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)

• Strong understanding of modern cloud, data, and development technologies; willingness to continuously learn new solutions

• Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and collaborate with technical, business, and management stakeholders

• Team-oriented, constructive collaboration and adaptability to different teams and ways of working

• Structured problem-solving for complex technical questions and evaluating alternative solution options

• Openness to new technologies and ways of working; willingness to challenge and improve existing solutions
