Description

You will be the specialist for label printing software products and their licensing, while providing technical support for label printing and barcode Auto-ID systems. The role includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting label printers and scanners, plus handling customer inquiries and support on-site as needed. You will also support the ongoing maintenance and development of a Shopware 6 online shop and connected systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the central point of contact for all licensing questions for BarTender, NiceLabel, Codesoft, and Easylabel; advise customers on suitable licensing models
• Provide continuous phone and on-site support to customers and end users
• Identify customer needs and requirements through consultation
• Install, configure, and maintain label printers, barcode scanners, and other Auto-ID hardware
• Support quote creation and offer preparation, including final ticket/process handling
• Contribute to maintaining and developing a Shopware 6 online shop and connected IT systems
• Deliver technical support (1st and 2nd level) for internal users and provide phone/on-site support for customers regarding label printing and barcode systems
• Diagnose errors, repair devices, and source spare parts for label printers and Auto-ID equipment from manufacturers including CAB, SATO, TOSHIBA, TSC, and ZEBRA

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship/qualification as IT-Systemkaufmann or IT-Systemelektroniker (m/w/d) or comparable technical/business qualification
• Strong knowledge of Windows client/server environments and confident use of MS Office
• Technical understanding of hardware (experience with printers/scanners or similar peripherals is expected)
• Strong interest in software; willingness to become an expert in label software and licensing models
• Structured, independent working style; enjoyment of intensive customer contact and solving technical problems
• Ability/willingness to learn using vendor learning portals and training resources
• Good German (written and spoken) and good English skills
• Driver’s license class B for occasional on-site assignments
• Initial professional experience in IT support or system administration
• Experience with label printing software (BarTender, NiceLabel, Codesoft, Easylabel) or comparable tools
• Knowledge of Auto-ID-related programming/scripting languages (e.g., ZPL, EPL, C#, VB.NET, VBA, Java)
• Initial experience with e-commerce systems (e.g., Shopware)
• Printing-related or graphical knowledge
