Description

Join the manufacturing team to ensure a stable and efficient IT environment directly on the production floor. You will handle 1st/2nd level support, install and configure software and selected hardware, manage local IT topics, and support IT/OT connectivity and system interfaces. You will also analyze incidents, identify causes, and propose practical improvements while keeping clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support in the manufacturing environment (1st and 2nd level)

• Install and configure software and selected hardware

• Act as the local IT contact for shopfloor IT topics

• Ensure stable IT/OT connectivity (networks, systems, interfaces such as VRF, MSB, OPC UA)

• Analyze incidents, determine causes, and propose practical solutions

• Maintain clear documentation of problems and solutions

• Collaborate with production colleagues and central IT teams

• Proactively suggest improvements to IT support and processes

Requirements

• Secondary or higher education (IT or technical field preferred)

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing company, ideally in an IT role

• Experience with manufacturing IT systems (e.g., MES)

• Advantage: knowledge of SAP ERP

• Very good knowledge of MS Office 365

• Practical experience from a production environment (e.g., quality, logistics, industrial engineering)

• Ability to communicate with users and management

• Advantage: experience with international collaboration

• Fluent English; German is an advantage
