Description

Editing and storytelling are at the center of this Product Designer II role, helping bring product films, experiences, and ideas to life. You will edit and produce visual content (product films, sizzles, prototypes, narratives, and presentations), and may also support planning, shooting, lighting, audio, color, and final delivery. You will collaborate across design, research, engineering, and product teams while staying proactive and self-sufficient in ambiguous creative work.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and craft compelling product films, sizzles, prototypes, narratives, presentations, and other visual content from concept through final delivery

  • Capture video and photography of products, people, prototypes, environments, and experiences using professional tools and techniques

  • Create motion graphics, compositing, titles, transitions, and visual treatments to strengthen storytelling

  • Translate scripts, storyboards, creative direction, and early concepts into polished visual narratives with thoughtful pacing, sound, and visual craft

  • Support or independently lead productions across planning, shooting, lighting, audio, editing, color, sound, and delivery as needed

  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, engineers, product teams, and creative partners as product and creative direction evolve

  • Proactively identify creative and production needs and independently solve problems to drive work forward

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design

  • OR equivalent experience demonstrating product/service design or using design thinking to solve problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Design, Photography, or related field (or equivalent)

  • 3+ years of professional experience in video editing, filmmaking, content production, motion design, or related creative discipline

  • Experience using professional editing and post-production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable software

  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating capabilities in editing, visual storytelling, cinematography, motion design, or production

  • Experience working across multiple production areas (editing, cinematography, photography, lighting, audio, motion graphics, post-production)

  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and self-sufficiently, identify creative/production needs, and drive projects forward without highly prescriptive direction

  • Experience independently taking projects from early concept or raw footage through polished final delivery

  • Plus: Experience with CG animation, 3D workflows, rendering, compositing, or related visualization tools

Benefits

  • Base pay range (U.S.): USD $102,100–$202,200 per year

  • Base pay range (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metro): USD $133,800–$219,200 per year

  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation
