Description

Lead technical efforts for renewable generation grid interconnection projects, ensuring compliance with utility, ISO, and reliability requirements. Conduct and review power system studies, including dynamic model validation and performance analysis, with emphasis on wind turbine dynamics and EMT studies. Coordinate with ISOs, utilities, consultants, and project stakeholders through commissioning support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead utility-scale renewable energy interconnection activities across North America

  • Manage stakeholder and ISO/utility interactions

  • Perform and review power system studies using PSCAD, PSS®E, TSAT, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory

  • Validate, tune, and analyze dynamic models

  • Evaluate compliance with NERC reliability standards and regional grid codes

  • Support commissioning activities, plant testing, and model verification

  • Collaborate with global engineering teams supporting renewable growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in renewable development, power systems engineering, transmission planning, and grid interconnection

  • Hands-on experience with power system simulation and dynamic studies

  • Experience supporting renewable generation interconnection projects

  • Strong understanding of transmission networks, reliability standards, and grid compliance requirements

  • Strong technical communication and stakeholder management
