Description

Lead the development of electrical designs for scalable, code-compliant, and constructable infrastructure solutions. You will prepare IFC/IFP drawing packages in Revit to meet NEC, California Building Code (CBC), and Title 24 requirements. You will also perform critical electrical studies (arc flash, fault current, voltage drop, selective coordination, transient, and harmonic analyses) and coordinate with stakeholders and contractors to deliver programs on time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design development including power distribution, grounding, lighting, and controls
  • Design for manufacturing equipment, building infrastructure, battery/energy storage, EV charging, and R&D test setups
  • Prepare and oversee IFC (Issued for Construction) and IFP (Issued for Permit) drawing packages using Revit
  • Perform electrical studies: arc flash hazard assessments, fault current analysis, voltage drop calculations, selective coordination, transient analyses, and harmonic studies (ETAP/SKM or equivalent)
  • Deliver first-principles electrical design solutions balancing technical excellence with constructability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability goals
  • Establish and track team KPIs, produce impact reports, and provide executive-level status updates
  • Prioritize and allocate resources across concurrent projects to ensure on-time delivery
  • Partner with stakeholders across product verticals to refine scope, validate feasibility, and optimize for sustainability, efficiency, and cost
  • Interface with EPC firms, vendors, and contractors during bidding, procurement, and construction to enforce compliance and mitigate risks
  • Present concepts, progress updates, and risk assessments at milestone reviews
  • Collaborate across disciplines and trades; perform field walks to review installation progress and adherence to design

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.); CA, CO, NV, or TX preferred
  • Demonstrated experience across a broad voltage range (12V to 35kV), including low-, medium-, and high-voltage power distribution
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP (advanced modeling, BIM coordination, panel scheduling, circuiting)
  • Proficiency in electrical analysis software (ETAP, SKM, or equivalent)
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC, California Building Code (CBC), California Energy Code (Title 24), and NFPA standards
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a high-velocity environment
  • Construction administration experience (site observation visits; review of RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings) and familiarity with OSHA
  • Willingness to travel up to 33% to support infrastructure development across California and North America
