Description

You will provide senior technical leadership for originating, developing, and implementing cutting-edge power systems and integrated systems solutions. You will drive technical strategy and technology/product roadmaps, lead early-stage disruptive technology efforts, and collaborate across cross-functional teams and external partners. You will also help shape a government funding pipeline of projects to expand new power systems and systems integration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise to develop and implement innovative solutions improving performance, efficiency, security, stability, and reliability

• Drive technical strategy for data center integrated power systems and develop technology and product roadmaps

• Lead early stage technology development and mature concepts through successful product introduction

• Coordinate disruptive technology efforts with GE Vernova businesses and incorporate them into long-term multi-generational roadmaps

• Lead multi-year technology and product roadmap planning to ensure competitive, differentiated business plans

• Provide leadership on disruptive technologies and market trends with deep understanding of power systems and energy systems evolution

• Shape and develop government funding pipeline and manage a portfolio of new technologies

Requirements

• PhD or Doctorate in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related technical field

• Minimum 15 years of experience

• Minimum 10 years developing and deploying power system/electrical systems in business and production environments

• Minimum 10 years leading teams or large technical development projects

• Minimum 10 years leading large research programs, securing R&D funding, and managing projects from concept to product deployment

• Must be able/willing to work onsite in Niskayuna, NY
