Description

During the internship, you will support Electrical Engineering with design and testing tasks, prototype development, and engineering analysis for new product development and cost reduction projects. You will help prototype electronic and/or mechatronic concepts related to power tools, battery and cell studies, wireless connectivity, and jobsite power. You will prepare solution recommendations with decision matrices, create prototypes (including bill of materials and preliminary cost analysis), and present results to supervisors and Innovation/Technology leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical engineering design and testing for new product development and cost reduction

  • Assist in prototyping electronic and/or mechatronic product concepts

  • Support battery and cell studies, wireless connectivity, and jobsite power efforts

  • Prepare solution recommendations using decision matrices to guide technical direction

  • Design and construct prototypes, including bill of materials and preliminary cost analysis

  • Present results to supervisor and Innovation/Technology leadership

Requirements

  • Rising junior or senior

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and power electronics

  • Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development (plus)

  • Strong academics alongside extracurricular activities

  • Team-oriented and collaborative

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Adaptable to change
