Description

Design, develop, and maintain production infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Co-create GitOps standards for Kubernetes clusters (Flux, Kustomize), implement progressive delivery (canary releases), and build CI/CD tooling that uses GitLab CI with Terraform, Kubernetes/GitOps, and container image workflows. Lead platform improvements across observability, SRE practices (SLI/SLO, error budgets, postmortems), and DevSecOps/security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Own infrastructure design, development, and operations on Google Cloud Platform with Terraform

  • Develop and evolve GitOps standards for Kubernetes using Flux and Kustomize

  • Design and roll out progressive delivery strategies (canary releases)

  • Build and optimize GitLab CI pipelines for Terraform, Kubernetes/GitOps, and container image build/scan

  • Contribute to platform layers such as service mesh and API Gateway

  • Define and implement access control and secrets management best practices using HashiCorp Vault

  • Develop observability solutions with Prometheus and Grafana (monitoring, alerting, reliability analysis)

  • Advance SRE practices: SLI/SLO, error budgets, postmortem analysis, and stability recommendations

  • Identify and implement improvements for scalability, performance, and reliability

  • Set standards and promote DevSecOps practices, pipeline security, and container image security

  • Create internal CLI tools in Go to support Kubernetes and GitOps teams

Requirements

  • 6–7+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE

  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform and production environments

  • Terraform proficiency for Infrastructure as Code, including modularization, code review, and infrastructure code quality

  • Excellent Kubernetes knowledge and GitOps approach, especially Flux and Kustomize

  • Experience with progressive deployments or readiness to quickly take ownership

  • Experience designing CI/CD processes focused on automation, scalability, and pipeline reusability

  • Practical observability experience using Prometheus and Grafana (or similar tools)

  • Understanding of secrets management, access control, and CI/CD pipeline security

  • Ability to work across multiple teams and clusters while keeping standards consistent and solutions scalable

  • Practical SRE experience (SLI/SLO, error budgets, postmortems)
