Description

Maintain, operate, and incrementally improve an established Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture. Ensure reliable and continuously optimized GitOps delivery using ArgoCD and GitHub-based automation, backed by resilient infrastructure and 24/7 mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and support resilient, secure, scalable enterprise-grade infrastructure on GCP

• Create and standardize declarative GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

• Manage GKE clusters, including performance tuning, service mesh reliability, and automated lifecycle management; support production deployment to OpenShift

• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and modular, reproducible configuration management

• Deliver high availability with zero downtime, multi-zone/multi-region disaster recovery, and continuous delivery for 24/7 financial risk systems

• Support observability (metrics, logs, traces) using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and GCP Cloud Operations

• Collaborate closely with developers, platform teams, architects, and security specialists

Requirements

• Deep hands-on architectural and operational expertise across GCP (IAM, VPC, Compute Engine, GKE, Secret Manager, etc.) with multiple years of production experience

• Proven experience implementing declarative GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD and scalable, secure delivery workflows using GitHub Actions

• Strong production experience with Kubernetes (GKE preferred), container runtimes, Helm, Kustomize, and container security

• Proficiency with Terraform in collaborative enterprise environments

• Strong Linux fundamentals, systems engineering, and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or Go)

• Demonstrated ability to architect and operate mission-critical systems with strict SLAs, low latency, and zero-downtime requirements

• Strong understanding and active adoption of modern AI/GenAI technologies
