Description

You will develop and maintain infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), manage Kubernetes clusters in a GitOps model, and support progressive deployments such as canary releases. You’ll build internal tools for CI/CD (primarily in Go), maintain GitLab CI pipelines for Terraform and Kubernetes/GitOps, and enhance platform components like service mesh and API gateway. You’ll also work on secrets and access management using HashiCorp Vault, observability with Prometheus and Grafana, and SRE practices including SLI/SLO, error budgets, and postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Google Cloud Platform infrastructure with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Manage Kubernetes clusters using GitOps tools such as Flux and Kustomize
• Support progressive deployments (canary releases)
• Develop internal tools supporting CI/CD processes, mainly in Go
• Maintain GitLab CI pipelines for Terraform, Kubernetes/GitOps, and container image build & scanning
• Improve platform layer solutions, including service mesh and API gateway
• Manage access and secrets using HashiCorp Vault under the principle of least privilege
• Build and optimize observability and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana
• Support SRE practices: SLI/SLO, error budgets, and postmortem analysis
• Ensure pipeline and container image security using DevSecOps best practices
• Collaborate with product and data engineering teams to design and deliver solutions aligned with business needs

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps/SRE
• Comfort working with Google Cloud Platform and public-cloud production environments (GCP or other, with willingness to move toward GCP)
• Practical Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and GitOps, especially Flux, Kustomize, or ArgoCD
• Good CI/CD skills and ability to create reusable pipelines
• Experience building observability using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools
• Understanding of secrets management (Vault or related) and CI/CD security
• Interest in SRE practices: SLI/SLO, error budgets, postmortems

Preferred

• GitLab CI knowledge
• Basic Go knowledge
• Experience building tools and automations supporting infrastructure processes
• Experience with service mesh and API Gateway solutions
• Experience with tools/platforms used in data engineering
