Description

You will take end-to-end responsibility for local IT, covering infrastructure and security, internal systems, and practical ways to use AI. You will serve as the technical escalation point for more complex problems—prioritizing issues, driving progress, and supporting L1/L2 resolution. The role is hands-on when needed (e.g., checking servers in the server room) and includes collaboration across locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve IT infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, storage, backup, firewalls, VPN, and endpoint devices
• Manage software licenses and resolve advanced technical issues
• Identify and remediate security risks
• Define, develop, and maintain security measures and standards; work with NIS2
• Support secure use of AI tools
• Apply AI and automation in daily IT work (e.g., scripting, data work, Power Apps, and more effective troubleshooting)
• Contribute to additional IT projects/topics: ERP/SAP, internal collaboration tools, ticketing and intranet, and ongoing virtualization/storage/backup initiatives

Requirements

• Experience owning IT infrastructure independently (Windows Server, Active Directory, networking)
• Strong practical knowledge of IT security with the ability to implement security controls
• Familiarity with NIS2
• Ability to use AI tools safely in practice
• Communicative English for collaboration and reading technical documentation
• Valid B driving license (active) for occasional visits to the hydraulic laboratory
• Willingness to take ownership and perform technical work (not purely a managerial role)
