Description

Lead the reliable, high-performing, and secure operation and further development of the organization’s IT infrastructure and workplace functions. Manage end-to-end infrastructure service management processes (incident/problem/change, capacity, continuity, backup/recovery, patching) and oversee external service providers. Drive infrastructure roadmaps and transformation from on-premises to SaaS/cloud while ensuring regulatory compliance, including DORA and GDPR.

Responsibilities

• Operate and continuously improve IT infrastructure for application systems and workplace

• Manage and evolve incident/problem/change, capacity, change/configuration, continuity, backup/recovery, and patch management

• Develop and run infrastructure landscape spanning on-premises, networking, and future cloud/workplace services

• Own central infrastructure services with service levels (servers, virtualized environments, SAN, operating systems, databases, networking, and security services)

• Coordinate and monitor external vendors and managed service providers, including monitoring and KPI reporting

• Plan and steer on-premises transformation toward SaaS/cloud platforms

• Create infrastructure roadmaps, annual plans, and budgets; implement IT strategy

• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve stability, efficiency, and security

• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the infrastructure team

• Ensure supervisory and data protection compliance for the IT infrastructure, especially DORA and GDPR

• Support internal and external audits and implement actions (e.g., for ISO 27001)

• Collaborate with IT application owners, IT security management/CISO, external providers, stakeholders, and IT leadership; report on performance and risks

Requirements

• 7–12 years of IT infrastructure experience

• Experience in financial industry or with an IT services provider for financial industry clients

• Proven hands-on experience with both on-premises and cloud infrastructure

• Strong knowledge of modern workplace environments, especially Microsoft 365

• In-depth understanding of infrastructure security and cybersecurity practices

• Experience with IT service management frameworks, preferably ITIL

• Fluent German; English at least B2

• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style

• Cloud migration or infrastructure transformation project experience

• ISO 27001 requirements or audit experience (preferred)
