Description

Join the Core Bazel team to deliver consultancy, migrations, and open-source work related to Bazel. You will solve challenging build-system and developer-tooling problems, improve CI/CD and SDLC processes, and contribute to high-quality internal or open-source solutions. Optional opportunities include training, mentoring, and participating in technical community activities such as conferences and blogging.

Responsibilities

• Execute smooth Bazel migrations

• Develop and maintain high-quality open-source and internal solutions tailored to Bazel

• Promote Bazel ecosystems through community activities (conferences, meetups, blogs, social media), if comfortable

• Support pre-sales technical consultancy

• Develop and deliver training sessions and mentor engineering teams, if comfortable

Requirements

• Track record in developing solutions around build tools

• Experience maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and/or optimizing SDLC processes

• Bazel expertise (preferred) or experience with other build tools

• Strong interest in build systems, SDLC, and developer tooling

• Proficiency in at least one ecosystem: JVM, Rust, Go, TypeScript, C++ (or similar)

• Excellent communication skills and pragmatic technical problem-solving

• Proactive blocker resolution and collaborative technical alignment

• High autonomy in task execution and delivering outputs

• Public speaking/technical blogging/community engagement and mentoring are valuable assets
