Description

The project supports consultancy, Bazel migrations, and open-source work related to Bazel. You will deliver Bazel-related solutions, help promote Bazel ecosystems (if comfortable), support pre-sales with strategic technical consultancy, and develop training and mentoring (if comfortable). The role involves tackling challenging build/SDLC problems across diverse ecosystems and codebases, sometimes requiring creative approaches.

Responsibilities

• Execute smooth Bazel migrations
• Develop and maintain high-quality open-source and internal solutions tailored to Bazel
• Support pre-sales activities and strategic technical consultancy
• Promote Bazel engineering expertise via technical conferences, meetups, blog posts, and social media (optional if comfortable)
• Develop and deliver training sessions and mentor engineering teams (optional if comfortable)
• Drive technical initiatives and solve complex problems in build systems, CI/CD, and SDLC

Requirements

• Track record in developing solutions around build tools
• Experience maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines or optimizing SDLC processes
• Expertise in Bazel (preferred) or other build tools
• Interest in build systems, SDLC, and developer tooling
• Proficiency in at least one software ecosystem (JVM, Rust, Go, TypeScript, C++, or similar)
• Excellent communication skills with a pragmatic approach to technical problem-solving
• Proactive approach to blocker resolution and collaborative technical alignment
• High autonomy in task execution and output delivery
• Public speaking, technical blogging, and community engagement experience (significant asset)
• Strong mentoring and knowledge-sharing capabilities (significant asset)
