Description

Senior Data Center Engineer role supporting enterprise data center infrastructure and critical business services. Responsibilities include administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, modernization, and operational support across virtualization, compute, storage, backup, and Windows Server platforms. You will ensure uptime, performance, health, and security through monitoring, incident RCA, patching/upgrades, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise data center infrastructure

• Manage and troubleshoot VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, clustering, lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, migrations)

• Operate and support Dell infrastructure platforms (servers, storage, data protection)

• Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and health (e.g., Zabbix)

• Perform incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective/preventive actions

• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes, including recovery validation and testing

• Implement software, firmware, OS, and security updates across infrastructure components

• Support Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services

• Automate operational tasks and reporting with PowerShell

• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards

• Participate in modernization, migration, and capacity planning

• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and technology partners

• Support security, compliance, and audit activities; ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or Data Center Operations

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise data center environments

• Strong VMware vSphere administration and troubleshooting experience (lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, migrations)

• Practical experience with Dell enterprise infrastructure: Dell PowerEdge Servers, Dell Storage Platforms, Dell PowerScale, Dell Data Domain, Dell Avamar

• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication

• Strong understanding of server, virtualization, storage, and backup technologies

• Experience with Windows Server administration

• Good understanding of SAN and NAS storage architectures

• Hands-on backup and recovery operations

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation

• Experience with monitoring platforms such as Zabbix

• Experience with security patching, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening

• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms

• Very good communication in English and Polish

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
