Description

You will work on expert-level Bazel projects combining consultancy, migration, and open-source contributions. The work includes executing smooth Bazel migrations, developing high-quality Bazel-related solutions, supporting pre-sales technical consultancy, and optionally contributing to community efforts (talks, meetups, blogs, social media), training, and mentoring. You’ll help clients by tackling build-system problems that are too complex for their internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute Bazel migrations
• Develop open-source and internal solutions tailored to Bazel
• Support pre-sales activities and provide technical consultancy
• Promote Bazel ecosystems through technical conferences, meetups, blog posts, and social media (if comfortable)
• Develop and deliver training sessions and mentor engineering teams (if comfortable)
• Drive technical initiatives and apply creative problem-solving across varied ecosystems and codebase setups

Requirements

• Track record in developing solutions around build tools, maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, or optimizing SDLC processes
• Bazel expertise (preferred) or expertise in other build tools
• Interest in build systems, SDLC, and developer tooling
• Proficiency in at least one software ecosystem (JVM, Rust, Go, TypeScript, C++, or similar)
• Excellent communication skills with pragmatic technical problem-solving
• Proactive approach to resolving blockers and aligning technically with the team
• High autonomy in task execution and delivering outcomes
• Public speaking, technical blogging, and community engagement experience (significant asset)
• Mentoring and knowledge-sharing capabilities (significant asset)
