Description

You will be responsible for implementing demanding software projects in an interdisciplinary, cross-functional environment. The position includes ownership across backend, frontend, DevOps, and/or AI engineering, alongside architecture and system-thinking contributions. You will use modern AI for software engineering tools responsibly (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot) to improve development efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex software projects

  • Contribute to software design and durable software architecture in iterative increments

  • Work in an agile setup (Daily Scrums, customer reviews, retrospectives with Agile Coaches)

  • Apply DevOps methods to deliver user value quickly and collect feedback

  • Introduce new and stable technologies where they fit best

  • Work self-organized within the project team and collaborate with UI/UX experts, Agile Coaches, and Product Owners

  • Quickly understand existing codebases and critically assess code generated by people and AI systems

Requirements

  • Approximately 5 years of practical software development experience

  • Very good German and English (at least C1) and ability to explain complex technical topics appropriately to teams, customers, and partners

  • Strong collaboration and active knowledge sharing

  • Experience with AI for Software Engineering and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot)

  • Strong architecture and system-thinking; can evaluate decisions for architecture, maintainability, operations, and cost

  • Excellent understanding of high-quality code; ability to onboard into existing codebases and assess code critically

  • Growth mindset and openness to new technologies and methods
