• Role: Senior Bazel Engineer (Bazel-focused consultancy and engineering)

Description

You will work with a core Bazel team delivering consultancy, migrations, and open-source contributions around Bazel and build tooling. The work targets hard build-system and SDLC problems across different ecosystems and CI/CD setups, from startups to large-scale production builds. You may also support pre-sales technical consultancy and training/mentoring and, if comfortable, contribute to community efforts.

Responsibilities

• Execute smooth Bazel migrations

• Develop high-quality open-source and internal solutions tailored to Bazel

• Support pre-sales activities and strategic technical consultancy

• Drive technical initiatives and apply creative problem-solving

• Develop and deliver training sessions and mentor teams (if comfortable)

• Participate in technical conferences, meetups, blog posts, and social media/community engagement (if comfortable)

Requirements

• Track record developing solutions around build tools, maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, or optimizing SDLC processes

• Expertise in Bazel (preferred) or other build tools

• Strong interest in build systems, SDLC, and developer tooling

• Proficiency in at least one ecosystem: JVM, Rust, Go, TypeScript, C++, or similar

• Excellent communication skills with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving

• Proactive blocker resolution and collaborative technical alignment

• High autonomy in executing tasks and delivering outputs
