Description

You will design, build, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid cloud platforms, including secure Azure landing zones and Microsoft Entra ID services. The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), automation (PowerShell and Azure Automation Runbooks), platform security/compliance, and end-to-end operations such as patching, lifecycle management, observability, and incident/problem handling.

You will serve as an escalation point for complex platform issues and participate in on-call support for critical global services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Implement secure Azure landing zones (guardrails, policies, subscription structure, naming standards, access controls)
• Operate and improve Microsoft Entra ID (RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, SCIM, administrative units, identity governance)
• Manage Windows Server and Linux workloads across Azure, VMware/ESXi, Azure Local/HCI, colocation, and on-premises
• Support patching and lifecycle management, including virtual patching for legacy OS scenarios
• Deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
• Develop automation with PowerShell and Azure Automation Runbooks (including Hybrid Worker)
• Monitor availability, performance, and capacity using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Managed Grafana
• Apply security hardening and compliance controls (CIS baselines, vulnerability remediation, identity controls, certificate lifecycle)
• Use Azure Update Manager and automation for patching and lifecycle activities
• Participate in incident and problem management (troubleshooting, root cause analysis, long-term solutions)
• Apply SRE principles for highly available and resilient platforms (HA, load balancing, continuous improvement)
• Support on-call rotation and occasional out-of-hours response

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional IT experience
• 3+ years hands-on cloud and infrastructure engineering experience, particularly with Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments
• Experience supporting large and complex enterprise environments
• Experience working across distributed/global teams
• ITIL-aligned operations experience (Incident, Problem, Change, Request Fulfilment, Service Transition)
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage priorities with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certification(s) required
