Description

You will administer and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud services to deliver a strong, secure infrastructure. The role includes planning and implementing Azure services, developing and integrating tailored Azure solutions, automating operations, and supporting migrations from on-premises to Azure. You will also monitor system performance, handle operational incidents, and ensure security, backup/recovery, and compliance requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provision services using MS Azure infrastructure

• Expand and support an international cloud strategy

• Design, administer, and maintain Azure cloud services for performance and security

• Consult internal subject-matter teams and collaborate closely with IT teams

• Develop and integrate custom Azure solutions

• Plan and implement cloud infrastructure

• Administer and maintain the Microsoft Azure landscape (network components, storage solutions, virtual machines)

• Automate processes and routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure Runbooks

• Plan and execute migrations from on-premises systems to Azure

• Implement security measures, backup, and recovery solutions

• Ensure compliance with applicable requirements

• Monitor and analyze system performance and resource utilization

• Troubleshoot incidents during live operations

Requirements

• Completed IT degree, training as Fachinformatiker, or comparable qualification

• Several years of independent administration experience with Microsoft Azure environments

• Solid expertise integrating third-party cloud solutions

• Secure command of Azure services across Compute, Storage, Network, and Security

• Routine in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell or Azure Runbooks)

• Very good German and good English skills

• Confident communication with teams and interfaces

• Analytical thinking and structured work

• Solution-oriented collaboration across teams

• Willingness to contribute ideas

• Independent working style

• Ideally: experience in network administration, basic ITIL knowledge, strong architectural understanding
