Description

You will design, architect, implement, and operate scalable, highly available, and secure cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will create solution and architecture designs, plan and execute cloud migrations, and build Azure Landing Zones based on the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). The role also includes hybrid/multi-cloud integration using Zero-Trust principles, network and security concepts, and automation with Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, implement, and operate modern Azure-based cloud platforms

• Design and document scalable, highly available, and secure Azure cloud architectures

• Create architecture concepts, Solution Designs, operational concepts, and migration strategies

• Plan and conduct cloud migrations

• Build and evolve Azure Landing Zones in line with the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)

• Optimize costs and manage resources efficiently

• Design and implement Azure network structures

• Integrate on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments; implement Zero-Trust architectures

• Implement network security and identity concepts

• Ensure compliance, data protection, and security requirements following best practices

• Automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code

• Implement and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions

• Own stability, performance, backup, and disaster recovery concepts

• Continuously support, optimize, and evolve existing Azure environments

• Advise internal and external stakeholders on Azure architectures and cloud strategies

• Run workshops, proof-of-concepts, architecture reviews, and technical presentations

• Work closely with project management and Security, Compliance, Workplace, DevOps, and application teams

Requirements

• Multi-year experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a comparable role

• Preferably Azure certifications such as AZ-104 and AZ-305 (AZ-500, AZ-700 are a plus)

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, especially Compute, Storage, Networking, and Governance

• Sound classical networking knowledge (routing, switching, VLAN, subnetting, WAN architectures)

• Knowledge of VPN technologies and hybrid networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP

• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style

• High responsibility and quality awareness

• Clear and persuasive communication and strong consulting mindset

• Interest in new technologies and continuous learning

• Very good German and good English skills
