Description

You will support bundeswide and Europe-wide updates by flashing vehicle control units and helping with commissioning and system testing of updated vehicles. You will perform or assist with troubleshooting, error correction, and order/change activities as instructed, and help develop customer-specific solutions. The work includes automotive electronics administration, computer implementation, potential diagnostic software use, software installation on special hardware/components, and error readout and repair support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with nationwide/Europe-wide updates and flash control units in cars, trucks, and special vehicles
  • Commissioning and system tests of updated vehicles
  • Perform troubleshooting or error corrections, or handle them per instruction
  • Handle order and change measures, including guided completion
  • Support creation of customer-specific solutions
  • Perform administration in the environment of automotive electronics
  • Implement computers and potentially use diagnostic software
  • Assist with reading out errors and supporting troubleshooting in vehicles
  • Install new software on special hardware and new components in vehicles

Requirements

  • Completed 3-year vocational training in IT/Fiber/ Electronics (IT/Funk/Elektronik) with initial professional experience
  • High willingness to travel due to different changing deployment locations in Germany
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Technical knowledge in networking, IT hardware, and radio (radio knowledge is an advantage)
  • Systematic and structured working style
  • High flexibility, resilience, and willingness to perform
  • Good communication skills
  • Very good German language skills (spoken and written)
