Description

You will support member public banks with a practical focus on IT and digital topics, translating regulatory and governance developments into actionable guidance. The role includes representing member interests nationally and at EU level, preparing position papers, and organizing expert communication formats with IT/digital focus. You will also collaborate with other banking associations and engage with national and European supervisory authorities, ministries, and lawmakers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current regulatory developments related to IT and digital topics together with experts from member institutions and convert them into practical recommendations.
• Represent member interests nationally and at European level and develop position papers on IT and digital topics.
• Prepare and facilitate communication and exchange formats with IT/digital subject-matter experts from member institutions.
• Work with other banking associations in Germany and the EU; liaise with national and European supervisors as well as ministries and representatives of legislators.

Requirements

• Strong interest in digital cross-cutting and IT infrastructure topics, with high self-initiative and a desire for active exchange with member institution representatives at different levels.
• University degree.
• Professional experience in the credit sector, associations, consulting, or IT/digital service providers for the financial industry.
• Knowledge and, ideally, prior experience in IT compliance or IT regulation; familiarity with IT governance standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT infrastructure models, ideally with involvement in implementation.
• Enjoy dialogue, with a pleasant, persuasive manner and enthusiasm for contributing knowledge to the association’s digitalization projects.
• Ability to explain complex relationships clearly in German and English for different target groups.
