Description

You will operate and ensure the availability of production infrastructure (Kubernetes, networking, storage) and automate infrastructure workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code. The role includes monitoring and observability, troubleshooting and incident response, and contributing to self-service platforms and GitOps/Developer Enablement. You will also support migrations and continuously optimize security, cost, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production infrastructure (Kubernetes, network, storage)

• Automate infrastructure processes with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools

• Monitoring & observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Cribl.io

• Troubleshoot issues and handle incident response in production-like environments

• Help shape self-service platforms, GitOps, and developer enablement

• Continuously optimize infrastructure, security, cost, and performance

• Collaborate closely with SRE and DevOps colleagues across teams

• Contribute to migrations (e.g., VMware → Nutanix, Fortigate → Palo Alto) using IaC

Requirements

• Multi-year experience in operational IT operations (network, servers, virtualization)

• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices

• Deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and observability

• Experience with multi-cloud/hybrid setups (e.g., AWS, OVH, gcore)

• Hands-on mindset and high quality standards

• Ideally programming skills in Golang or Python

• Very good English; German is a plus
