Description

You will automate operations and deliver reliable infrastructure for software teams. The role focuses on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, Kubernetes-based platform transformation, monitoring/logging, and security via secret management. You will continuously improve systems through proactive monitoring, recovery mechanisms, and event-driven automation.

Responsibilities

• Automate operational workflows and recurring tasks (deployments, scaling, troubleshooting)
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines for fast and secure software delivery
• Transform and migrate Linux systems to Kubernetes environments
• Support software teams in using Kubernetes for their workloads
• Automate networking components in on-prem data centers
• Implement secret management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault) and integrate critical IT components
• Enable simple but secure access to credentials for applications and people
• Implement automated recovery mechanisms to minimize system outages
• Build proactive monitoring solutions for early issue detection
• Use event-driven automation (e.g., Lambda functions and webhooks) to respond autonomously to anomalies
• Optimize infrastructure and scale cloud/on-prem systems based on load forecasts
• Ensure security compliance via Compliance as Code
• Optimize resource usage with automated capacity planning
• Develop runbooks and playbooks for automated incident management
• Use AIOps to analyze logs and metrics for early failure detection
• Work closely with developers and operations teams to resolve problems quickly via automation

Requirements

• C1 German language proficiency (written and spoken)
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or software development with automation and configuration management focus
• Solid IaC and configuration management knowledge (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Secure handling of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
• Experience with monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience with containers and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Good programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Problem-solving orientation and teamwork
• Availability for onsite team meetings in Hamburg two days per week
