Description

You will design, build, and operate the infrastructure behind a growing AI technology organization. The role includes ownership of physical and cloud infrastructure, administering a modern stack from Linux and networking through virtualization and Kubernetes, and performing DevOps/SRE for production services. You will monitor services, analyze operational data, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions as the stack grows.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure and security operations across physical and cloud computing environments
• Design, build, and operate hosted physical data center and public cloud infrastructure
• Administer and maintain infrastructure across multiple layers:
  • physical servers and hardware
  • networking
  • Linux operating systems
  • virtualization using XCP-ng
  • Kubernetes clusters
  • application-level infrastructure
• Monitor infrastructure and production services and analyze operational data to improve reliability, performance, and security
• Perform DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) activities for production services, currently with a strong focus on VoIP telephony
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues to ensure availability and reliability of critical services
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture and technical decisions as the company and its technology stack grow
• Participate in R&D activities related to AI and speech/language processing technologies
• Maintain a strong focus on open-source technologies and solutions

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, systems administration, SRE, or a related field
• Strong practical knowledge of Linux and the command line
• Strong practical knowledge of Bash and shell scripting
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Systems and network administration experience
• Experience operating and troubleshooting production infrastructure
• Ability to independently diagnose problems, find root causes, and implement robust solutions
• Good understanding of IT security and infrastructure reliability
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other engineers
• English sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating with colleagues in Slack and other technical discussions
• University degree in IT or electrical engineering is welcome; proven practical experience is more important
