Description

Senior Data Analyst position in the Absence Consulting Practice producing standard and ad hoc reporting and analytical packages to help employers gain insight into leave of absence, disability, and life insurance. You will work in a cross-functional team to develop claims reporting packages, maintain dashboards and data pipelines, and deliver advanced analytics such as benchmark and regression analysis. You will present and explain data visualizations and concepts to internal and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic, data-informed approach to the development of claims reporting packages for employers
  • Support analysis for annual, semi-annual, and finalist meetings plus ad hoc reporting packages
  • Create and maintain customer dashboards and data pipelines
  • Maintain and update analytic service templates, scripts, and documentation
  • Provide ad hoc customer reporting, industry analysis, benchmark analysis, and regression analysis
  • Explain and review data visualizations and concepts with internal teams prior to customer presentations
  • Design innovative reporting solutions leveraging industry and analytics expertise

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree (preferably in a quantitative field)
  • Basic understanding of health, disability, and life data
  • Critical thinking; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic programming knowledge (R or Python)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL/query tools and techniques
  • Intermediate or advanced Power BI (or another data visualization platform)
  • Ability to explain complex data to a wide audience
  • Ability to manage multiple/changing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication; strong presentation/facilitation skills
  • Team-oriented and self-starter with strong time management and organization

Salary range: $76,000.00–$125,400.00 (varies based on factors such as geographic location, candidate experience, and skills).
