Description

Join a team of data scientists blending business, scientific, and machine learning expertise to build fit-for-purpose analytics solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver continuously innovative products that support clinical development and precision medicine.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams as an analytics consultant; identify issues that could impact timelines/quality and propose options and solutions

• Lead and establish design principles and standards so analytical deliverables are consistent across projects and optimized for user experience

• Develop prototypes, test methods, and algorithms using advanced statistics, ML, and AI to generate insights

• Enable data-driven insights across the clinical development continuum, including precision medicine

• Ensure adherence to federal/local regulations, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and applicable quality standards

• Define business needs and support creation of standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analyses

• Coach and mentor junior team members

• Use machine learning to validate assumptions and predict future behavior related to clinical trial progress and emerging risks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science, or equivalent (Master’s preferred)

• 3–5 years of analytics-related experience in clinical research, with demonstrated leadership competencies

• Advanced proficiency in R, Python, or other statistical packages

• Intermediate-level knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques

• Expert proficiency with visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or equivalent

• Proven expertise with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques

• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts in layman’s terms

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Demonstrated execution in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities

• Cloud computing experience (e.g., AWS, Azure) preferred
