Description

You will independently prepare and manage the monthly close, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions, and control key accounting and tax outputs for Czech entities. The position focuses on VAT (DPH) and corporate income tax (DPPO) preparation and filing, verification of balances and intercompany reporting, and supporting payroll tax-impact checks. You will actively help modernize finance by automating and simplifying processes and using AI to improve how finance work is done.

Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare and manage the monthly financial close

  • Verify balances, balance sheet, intercompany, accounting, and tax outputs

  • Prepare and file DPH and DPPO for Czech companies; monitor tax calendar

  • Improve and simplify accounting/controlling processes, including through AI transformation

  • Check payroll calculations and their tax implications (including staying aware of major labor-law changes)

  • Ensure accounting data accuracy and completeness

  • Set up and test automations in accounting and controlling

  • Drive practical adoption of AI in finance work (not just execution of accounting tasks)

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Czech accounting, VAT (DPH), and DPPO; experience with accounting and processing of DPH and DPPO for Czech companies

  • Familiarity with common tax matters (tax advisor exams are a plus, not required)

  • Controlling experience (ideal: combination of accounting and controlling), at least 3 years of experience

  • High attention to detail; ability to analyze figures and identify mistakes

  • Organized, responsible, and able to work independently

  • Ability to connect context, propose improvements, and keep learning

  • Economics education (secondary or university)

  • Availability to start as soon as possible
