Senior Accountant (Independent Full-Cycle Accounting)

Description

You will independently manage comprehensive accounting for Amazing Places and several other companies in the group. The work covers standard accounting, payroll-related checks, fixed assets and depreciation, monthly VAT filings (including control and summary statements), and inputs for corporate income tax. You will also support regular financial closes and year-end financial statement preparation, while collaborating with an external tax advisor and exploring automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Handle complete accounting agenda for multiple companies in the group
• Post incoming/outgoing invoices, cash, bank accounts, and internal documents
• Check correct booking of wages (payroll calculation handled by a separate payroll accountant)
• Maintain long-term asset records and verify depreciation calculations
• Prepare, process, and submit monthly VAT returns, including control and summary filings
• Prepare materials for corporate income tax (DPPO) filing
• Prepare inputs for regular financial statements and assemble the annual financial statements
• Perform fixed-asset inventory (inventory accounting)
• Create ad-hoc reports and overviews for responsible stakeholders
• Use accounting and digital tools daily and analyze opportunities for further automation
• Coordinate and communicate with an external tax advisor, management, and colleagues

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with independent accounting management
• Proven experience preparing financial statements and VAT returns
• Understanding of Czech accounting and tax legislation
• Ability to manage responsibilities for multiple companies at once
• Meticulous, systematic, and able to organize work
• Interest in finding more efficient ways of working and using technology
• Good communication with colleagues and external partners
• Ability to solve issues independently and know when to consult the external tax advisor
